Time Without Holly
Well, Holly is gone until Monday evening this week in order to be in California for Megan's wedding. That means I'm home alone for 6 days trying to keep myself occupied without making a mess or sitting in a lonely lump on the couch. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of it so far though, and I haven't been too bad on the loneliness side of things, but I'm sure it might hit me by the time the weekend rolls around. I have a really hard time with Holly being gone, it's kind of like how my Mom has a hard time when Dad is gone on business trips I think.Anyways, she left yesterday around lunch time, so I drove myself back down to Provo and went straight to the movie theater to see the new Incredible HULK that came out last week. I wanted to see it, and I had taken the day off of work to make sure Holly got everything she needed packed and sorted out before leaving town. I did like the movie quite a bit though, not as much as I liked Iron Man, but pretty close, and it was a vast improvement over the first installment 4 years ago. It was an early afternoon showing, so I was done by 3:30pm and then had to fill the rest of my day.So, what I did was decide that rather than spending 15 dollars a pop to go see movies all week I would go over to Blockbuster and spend $15 to get 5 or 6 that I wanted to see, but I knew that Holly didn't want to watch and keep them on hand for when I needed them while she's gone. That saved me a ton of money I think. Then I went on over to Albertsons, got some bread for PBHDs, some sharp cheddar cheese for baked potatoes, and a big stack of the Stouffers macaroni and cheese frozen dinners. Yes, I know that it isn't going to be the healthiest week of eating for me, but at least I will be eating, which is a good thing.I then spent the rest of the evening taking turns on Conquer Club, watching some movies and TV, and just relaxing around the house. I talked to Holly on the phone a couple of times and found out that she got to eat El Burrito first thing after getting to Redlands (I'm very jealous), and that she was just hanging around waiting for people to come home that evening.By the time midnight rolled around I was asleep in the bed with Gunner, Squishy Friend, Moxy, Doodle, and Blue Friend. Pretty pathetic, huh?
