A Gerbil Would be Cool, Don't You Think?

So, lately, as in the past 3 weeks, I've been hankering to own a gerbil. Just a solitary gerbil because clearly I don't want mysterious baby gerbils arriving all the time, but a gerbil nonetheless. I can't really pin down exactly why I have been wanting a gerbil, but I do.

Watching things like hamsters and gerbils has always been fascinating, especially if they have the sort of living environment where they can be a little exploratory and entertain you. If I had a gerbil I would probably take him out and put him on my desk while I worked, so he could run around and have fun.

I mean, don't you think gerbils are cool?


Perhaps I should get a gerbil and a hamster and stage epic rodent battles or something. I wonder if Holly would let me get away with something like that.
