School is finally winding down for the semester, and that means it is time for finals. The ones that I have to take this time around don't look to be too incredibly daunting, but I still need to pay close attention to what I am doing over the next few days. I'll be finishing up two different papers for American Literature this evening, and possibly doing a little bit more research for to final papers as well. I've got two more abstracts to hand in for Shakespeare (they take about an hour each), and a decent amount of HTML and CSS to write for my CHum 250 class.
Luckily for me, I made the smart decision today to take a "break" from Conquer Club until April 20th. I know that is only twelve days, but in CC time it is a pretty lengthy amount. I updated all of my tournaments, finished off some small projects for the Tournament Directors, and sent out a mass message to all of my players telling them I would be gone. Everyone seems to be supportive so far, which is nice, and all of the tournaments have plenty of games that need to finish anyways, which allows me to not feel too bad about putting CC on a back burner for a little while.
With that change made, I have much more time to finish up schoolwork, housework, and other things, and when the semester is over I'll crank CC back up to occupy my free time during the spring and summer while I am not in class.
My grades are not going to be as outstanding as I had hoped going into the semester, but they will be adequate to keep me moving along. I have struggled in my computer science class due to my poor health in February and a professor who refuses to allow me to make up certain work because I didn't go to the doctor and get a note stating I had the flu. I knew what I had and knew how to make myself feel better, I didn't think I needed to pay a doctor just to have him write me a note. Needless to say, CS 100 was not the experience I had hoped it would be this time around. I'll be fine though, I'm sure.
I was busy taking care of other things last night, so I'm one post behind on my goal of 30 for the month, but I think I may have a good idea for another post later today. Keep your eyes out.
