In a perfect world I would go to church at 10:30am, return home from church at 1:30pm, eat a nice lunch, and then do whatever I wanted to for the rest of the day. That might include watching the afternoon football game, the NASCAR race, or even taking a short nap with Holly from time to time.
However, I am quickly learning that while living in a BYU married ward, that does not seem to be the case, at least not for now. Home Teaching is only ever possible to do on Sunday's after church, and Visiting Teachers always come on Sunday afternoons, etc, etc, etc.
I'm not sure why this school has that dynamic, but perhaps that is just me. I have always thought that Sunday was supposed to be the day I spent with my family in a quiet atmosphere at home, but BYU people don't seem to think that. It's like they save it all up to do only on Sundays and pretty quick I've got no time to spend doing the relaxing things I wanted to do over the weekend because I have to be 7 different places.
It's not a big deal, and I'm not really even complaining about it because I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who really feels that way. I just think it's weird is all.
