After my two relaxing days off from work to work on finishing some projects all around the house, and on Conquer Club, I'm back at work this morning and feeling good. I arrived to an inbox full of copy requests given that the new semester starts on Monday, as well as a large pile of email with questions about room assignments, grade rolls, and other miscellaneous things. It feels good to be back in the office, but I'm not going to say that my days off were not worth it. I really needed the breather that they provided.
Brian Jackson, the new Associate Composition Director is moving into the old office that Raj Chetty used to have here in the Comp Office. That means my great study area from the past two semesters is now gone, and I will have to find some other location to do my work between classes. It's a tad unfortunate because being able to use that office was incredibly convenient, but at the same time, I can't really complain. It was a good thing while it lasted though.
I'm a little apprehensive about the fact that LauraLee, my boss, will be getting replaced here in a couple of months. We have worked really well together and have never had any problems with getting along or covering for each other, but I'm worried that whoever comes in to replace her as she leaves for law school is going to be some kind of office nazi who is always demanding crazy things and never lets me have a moment of peace. I doubt that will really happen, but still, I'd rather just keep LauraLee here since I know I get along with her just dandy.
