It was an interesting experience for me this afternoon as I made my return to tournament organizing after a short break to deal with finals and some other things. In just a short time I had forgotten how easy it was for me to lose myself in that kind of organizational work, and let the time slip away as I tracked games, recorded results, and sent out passwords. It's like a spa treatment for me in some ways, it really is.
Conquer Club is gearing up to do some vast improvements to the tournament system here in the next few months, which is somewhat perfect timing because it allows me to give more focus to the projects since I will be out of school until September. I think that the owner wants to have the new improvements in place around that time so that is definitely good news. Now, if only I could figure out a nice way of translating the idea I have for a new system into posts in the forum things would work out perfectly. It is really hard for me to outline the basic plan I had when I am trying to explain it to someone who has no idea what the system would conceivably be from the start.
Perhaps I can set up a phone conference with Twill in the next week or so to really hash some things out that have been holding me back from really making clear the ideas that we are trying to discuss on the forums.
